Many times small business’s don’t stand a chance, but my supplier is Carhartt, the maker of bib overalls and other work clothing and that is the reason I can run with the big dogs. If I buy 50 units of product and a big farm store buys 5000 units the price per unit is the same. They do get a few perks that I don’t, but in the end I am satisfied with the outcome. Generally the more you buy the lower the price, and the “little guy” gets snuffed out.
Being self employed has it’s ups and downs but this mother of three is happy to still be in the game.
I asked, and without hesitation the answer was Carhartt lined bib overalls. Many customers, when asked, have several favorite Carhartt items but one that they would not want to be without. For me, my first layer choice would be my ladies jeans and my all time favorite is my old traditional arctic coat. That coat has been on many adventures and could tell many stories, if it could talk..and for the record.. I am glad it can’t!
Carhartt Flame-Resistant Clothing, hard hats and hi visiblity clothing are very commonly required safety items on many jobs these days.
The high risk jobs have become safer in recent years due to requirements, not suggestions for every employee to meet or exceed certain safety standards.
These items can prove to be costly and we will never know how much we saved!
To his co workers he was ”Steve O” and he was notorious for keeping the job site lively. As a customer in my Carhartt shop he was equally entertaining and very enthusiastic about finding so many Carhartt overalls and other items he wanted in stock. A true Carhartt fan.
The clown on your crew may not be the hardest worker but what would you do without them?
Carhartt, the maker of the famous bib overalls, has a clothing line for women and children too. If your kids play as hard as most people work, then Carhartt brand is for you!
What we thought was one of the last chances to play in the snow has turned out to be anything but. Since this picture was taken we have had half a dozen more playable snowfalls here in WV.
It is a wonderful thing when you have to make a decision and you are well informed and can answer confidently and rest assured there is no need to second guess yourself.. If only more decisions in life were so easy. Sometimes we have to rely on the wisdom and knowledge of others and trust they know their stuff. Carhartt is work clothing company with a reputation you can trust. Established in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt with one area of focus, the railroad worker and his need for a durable garment to do his job in comfortably.
Today Carhartt has hundreds of items in their line but the insulated overalls and unlined bib overalls remain strong sellers in a market flooded with competitors working for their piece of the pie.
A rubberized rain coat or plastic poncho is not rain gear for the working person. A quick fix for a game maybe, but if you are working out in the elements you know that being soaked to the bone for a whole shift is miserable.
Carhartt, the manufacturer of Carhartt bib overalls and hundreds of other items, has top quality water-proof, breathable rain gear. These items are abrasion and tear resistant and most importantly “breathable”. What that means is you won’t generate body heat and sweat like you do when you wear a rubberized product. Carhartt gear allows your perspiration to evaporate and this is key if you don’t want to miss a step in performing you duties in all kinds of weather.
Well drilling contractors are seeing more information from OSHA clarifying the rules for their drillers and servicing contractors.
In a nutshell, when the active hydrocarbon zones are reached, flame-resistant clothing must be worn until the final casing is cemented and the well is effectively closed. Also FRC’s should be worn when there is a history of fluid or gas kicks from underground producing zones. This last sentence from the memo concerns me. For there to be “A history” a first incident must happen… the first could be fatal. Oh…but who am I … it’s easy to pick.
If you have a job that requires FRC’s, be aware Carhartt flame-resistant clothing is some of the best on the market.
Add several big orange pumpkins, a farmer in denim bib overalls and some bright yellow mums, I am happy now! The picture is perfect.
Commercial farming does not have the charm pictured here. We all love this country scene and especially appreciate the antique tractor. A reminder of simpler times, just remember it does not mean easier times.
Got winter?
Need Carhartts!
Hello from northern WV where it feels as though spring will never arrive. Here at the Carhartt shop where I sell the entire line, the men’s insulated bib overalls are the top seller. One day it is sunny and breezy and the next you have to get the snow shovel back out. One exteme then the other makes it hard for all the southern drillers to know how to dress. Soon it will be Spring for real and that day can’t come soon enough after this long winter.
