This is very simple but many people fail to follow my advice. When you buy a new Carhartt garment write down the style and size and tuck it away. Carhartt clothing lasts a long time and most often the white tag inside will be so worn out from washing that you cannot read the style or size and wish you could when you decide it is time to purchase new. This happens the most with Carhartt overalls probably because you buy them bigger than your jean size and bigger still to go over your other clothes it sounds like a really big number to some folks! Easy to do and you will be glad you did.
Working outdoors in a high risk occupation requires many things especially if your job site is constantly changing. Loading or stocking supplies and parts and checking all the tools and equipment is a start.
As far as the worker themselves, being knowledgeable and personally responsible for your employer goes without saying but many don’t see it the way I do. A worker should eat well and be rested and ready for their job. Many times the safety of another depends on your alertness. Going out on the town should be reserved for when there is time to be fully recovered. I have witnessed allot of problems for people who party between shifts, it is only a matter of time before it gets you into trouble.
So rest up, eat healthy and dress properly so you can earn an honest paycheck. Carhartt lined overalls among other items can keep you comfortable when it’s cold outside.
How could it be any better? This is one of the best pictures I have seen in some time. It is usually the puppy or kitten pictures that make you go awwww but this set of newborn calves are precious. This is a lucky young man who is trusted by the mama cow and can share in this moment. Animals have a keen sense of when to trust. It is an old farmer in his overalls calling his special call to his herd who knows these things the best. The relationship is learned and earned and not taught or bought.
The talk is that there is plenty of work here, that the 40 & 50 year old workers will retire during this job. Wow is my response, who would have ever guessed that this quiet community had riches beneath. Many complain of the traffic and the mess but I personally am very thankful for it. Every project has it’s messes and this one is definitely no exception but the local economy is booming. Many workers have relocated their families and are here to stay.
My living is made selling Carhartt bibs and all the other great work-wear they are famous for. Lucky me… these workers already knew what Carhartt clothing is and are glad to have a shop nearby.
Lisa Hammel, the owner of a retail clothing shop specializes in Carhartt brand apparel and has for over 15 years.
Carhartt bib overalls insulated and unlined are the top sellers in her retail shop in northern West Virginia. In recent months her community has been flooded with “rough necks”.. which are drillers from all over the country.
While visiting with her customers, she asks “where is home for you?” Many times the answer is Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama. My true appreciation to the new business flow cannot be fully put into words because just two short years ago, my business was near bankruptcy. This busy working mom of three is very pleased to have stayed the course when the economy pointed towards bailing out.
Tool bag…Check, lunch bucket…check… Thermos …Check insulated bibs and boots…check.. safety harness… ready.. now..last and certainly not least… COURAGE…!!! Not everyone is made for this work, and certainly not those afraid of heights.
Guts and Gear and off to work you go… I hope the pay rate is good.
So we all like choices and we all have at least a few pairs of denim jeans.. and belts to hold them up with or just make them look nice. Carhartt has allot of stylish belts and these are just a few of the women’s belts.
Carhartt bibs are a great choice for work if you want to skip the belt and be comfortable and not have your britches hit the ground. And the top reason to not go for the belt and britches approach is if you are a big fella and you don’t want to show off your backside. Just say NO!
The proper tools and the proper clothing would be at the top of the list of important things to carry out your outside job.
In the northeast this week we are experiencing ice and snow and everyone here is in their carhartt insulated bibs and waterproof boots. Most are ready for spring and have endured more than average amounts of snow, ice and cold temps.
Blue skys and green grass doesn’t alway mean summertime. Early mornings on this dairy farm near the mountains can require a set of Carhartt lined bib overalls to get the early chores done in comfort.
By mid afternoon you may be peeling out of the insulated version and doing your busy work in some light weight gear but chances are you know how comfortable working in overalls can be and don’t ever hesitate investing in Carhartt brand.
Before Junior wants his first set of camo insulated bibs , juniors Daddy and Mommy are having fun wearing camo onsies on him… a real live baby doll. Carhartt even makes some fun girlie camo in vintage rose. You will also notice diaper covers for the little ones also. Kid sized fun now offered by a company who outfits the serious worker and has for over 120 years.
