Work Clothes for the Winter Months

carhartt-insulated-overallsAs the harsh winds of October blow through many parts of the American landscape, it becomes necessary for many laborers to upgrade their work clothes. Jeans alone might have done the trick during the temperate summer months, but that’s no longer the case. A pair of Carhartt insulated overalls can keep a majority of the body warm in addition to offering some protection from the external environment.

When shopping for bib overalls, it’s important to select a pair several sizes larger than your waist. This will allow for heavy layering during the coldest months of all, which are fast approaching. It will also help to measure above the waist, at the thickest part of the stomach, in order to ensure a proper fit.

Down Home on the Dairy Farm

carhartt-bib-overallsI could never be tied down to a desk for very long. As a kid, I was studious enough – completing all of my assignments and getting good grades in virtually every subject. Still, I had no interest in a white-collar career. I recognize the value of accountants, lawyers and other assorted pencil pushers, but that lifestyle just doesn’t appeal to me. There’s nothing like working outside with your bare hands to make you feel alive.

A few years ago, I inherited my family’s dairy farm and have since done the necessary improvements to make the place profitable again. It’s tough work, but at a time when many people are out of a job, I’ve found a way to remain self-employed and proud of what I do. When I wake up in the morning and don a pair of Carhartt bib overalls, I feel ready to attack the day’s tasks. It certainly beats putting on a suit and tie.
