Timeless wisdom tells us that we learn the most from watching others. This is so true for these young men. I would love to hear the conversation they were having while sticking their toes in the mossy mud and fishing. Come back in the very near future and see that they have grown in size and skills and are stepping up to the next level.
This whole simple childhood example is exactly how we as adults live our lives without even knowing it. We go about our lives doing our day to day routines, but as we go we watch others doing new and different things and try them ourselves.
Little men like to wear overalls that look like dad’s and they also like to work with tools just like the men folk. Educational playtime, delightful!
Men’s denim bib overalls have been common forever…well almost! Then Rosie the Riveter came on the scene and worked a man’s job in a factory, wearing bibs flexing her muscles and flashing her feminine smile. I personally am a modern day Rosie! For my size… I work like a man…pound for pound and I love wearing my bibs. When leisure time in the woods and at the lake is enjoyed.. again I love to play like a kid! What better time to get comfy in my bibs.
If you are a backwards female and this is out of your comfort zone, too bad for you, you would love them!
If you think it’s pretty now, wait until you have power lines going down. If you enjoy the scenery of winter, like myself, you need warm clothing to enjoy the snow. Have you ever thought about the guys who have some of the hardest jobs during winter? Probably not. They are the power companies linemen. Their work is dangerous on a good day.. then add ice and snow and you have a stressful job. These workers are required to wear FRC’s… Carhartt Flame-Resistant Clothing is some of the best on the market. Combining current technology with Carhartts trademark durability, a winning combination.
You need Carhartt bib overalls or men’s blue jeans? Carhartt has a LARGE selection and can fit Almost anyone!! These cuties are having a big laugh filling these britches together.
As you can well imagine, before it was all said and done, they fell over and laughed even harder!
Carhartt has inseams from 28′ up to 38″ and waist sizes from 28″ to 58″ now that is a range!
Salt, 4×4 vehicle, men’s insulated bib overalls … just a few items you may have or wish you have when the roads look like this. The wonderful changing seasons! Winter can be beautiful and treacherous all at the same time.
This day in age though.. we have so much technology being used to forecast storms and give people time to prepare and for that we need to be thankful.
Hamilton Carhartt founded his company late in the 19th century… 1889 to be exact. He had a drive and vision that carried him through the great depression.. narrowly surviving what destroyed most small industry at the time. He worked hard but enjoyed an enviable life.. was married to his wife for 56 years and died with her in a car accident… I know that doesn’t sound enviable at first..but think about it… neither one of them had to suffer losing the other … and they were out driving around..together, so they had a full and healthy lives… Sounds good to me! We all gotta go sometime!
Carhartt overalls are probably what the company is best known for … today they are made in several styles and colors.
In his day… it wasn’t paper or plastic ..it was wooden crates, crocks and barrels. It was waste not want not! This day in age we buy a single serve drink and throw out the bottle after one use. Some would say nothing is made like it used to be.. I think maybe Carhartt is a company that does a pretty good job of not losing good old fashioned durability in it’s products.
Carhartt bib overalls insulated or unlined are the brand that workers trust to be a safe investment. Up front cost is higher than some…but when they hold up and serve you much longer than cheaper versions, you know that you have made a good decision.
My great great granddaddy was born around the same time as Hamilton Carhartt and I know the values that come from their day were born out of truly knowing what it was to not have so many of the things we take for granted. We could all benefit from listening to an “old timer” now and then.
Physical laborers know and agree that insulated bib overalls or unlined bibs for that matter are a great choice for ease of motion and comfort.
You can’t pick a bad pair… but it is important to demand the right fit and to pick the right options for what you need from your overalls. Lined or unlined, correct waist and inseam for layering and shrinkage during laundering… and if you have no idea of how to choose them… find a good salesperson and make them earn their paycheck!!
Looking at the big strong man in the Carhartt picture, all serious about his pose for rugged work clothing…kinda makes me chuckle when I hang the little man bibs beside it. He was a little guy in diapers once, and all the world was a playground. Why do we rush to grow up and get serious and responsible anyway? We all did it… couldn’t wait until our next birthday… rushing to turn into a teenager… then on to driving age…15 or 16 then the big 21…no one was ever going to tell us what to do again!!! Guess what! as an adult you have allot more people running your life than you ever did growing up… and the bad part of that is that not all those bosses love you.. like Mom & Dad did….
Live and learn.. and no re- Do’s …. Just great memories of the bare foot denim bib overalls and mud pie days… or have a child and pretend that you are little again… they love it! Just try to remember your age when they ask you to climb a tree.
It brings a father great joy when he and his little one can dress alike… well… once again, Carhartt comes through. Now this little diaper cover will never wear out…so get ready to pass it around the family and put in the keepsake trunk.
Dads Carhartt unlined bib overalls will last quite awhile but he will need a new pair someday but little ones bottoms are here to stay… unless of course you have moths in your trunk.
