The boss is in his gear and he knows his role in the whole operation. Every company has a chain of command and we all fall into it somewhere.
You may be the boss in the company truck handling the mental stress or you may be the worker in the field wearing your
Insulated bib overalls dealing with the physical stress. In any case.. we all are part of a chain and we need one another if we are to achieve the goal.
Physical jobs require all kinds of gear. From your tools to your clothing.
Carhartt overalls are just one example of a popular work clothing item that sells year round in my retail shop.
If your job is demanding upon you then chance are you expect the same from your gear. Don’t cut corners in the area of tools and clothing.. it is important to be prepared and up for the task.
Before I begin, I want to make it very clear that these are my opinions and I don’t wish to insult the family of Hamilton Carhartt.
When he founded his company in 1889 all of his products were hand made by local workers. These days, many items in the line are not. These days many styles are fads that will come and go. I personally feel that Hamilton wanted classic garments that never go outta style and he wanted local workers to make them for their neighbors.
So it is my thoughts that Hamilton would roll over in his grave if he saw some of the items his name is being put on. His classic Carhartt unlined bib overalls will never go outta style. Thank heavens!
Originally the term simply indicated an outer garment that was worn over the trousers. Later it meant an outer coat, and it eventually developed into a synonym for a boilersuit.
The term “overalls” in the fashion world has evolved greatly since the Oxford English Dictionary marks its first usage over 200 years ago. When people think of overalls in today’s context, they likely think of bib overalls. This is the contemporary design that has a bib-like upper portion that attaches over the shoulder.
Carhartt, the maker of the best seller… Carhartt overalls or to some bib overalls, is now recognizing that women have joined the work force to stay. Unlike “Rosie the Riveter” in the 1920′s just filling in… today.. women have proven to be a valuable asset in many jobs.
This gal here may likely be one of the smoothest operators of heavy equipment on this job. Her judgement and driving ability may well be equal or even superior to her male counterparts. Strength is not the issue.. it is skill. Hang in there ladies.. you will not always be welcome..but you will always be needed.
Home on the range… now that is a world most of us can only try to imagine with the help from what we see in the movies.
Being a farmer/rancher in these parts requires grit and gear!
Carhartt denim bib overalls is a staple in the wardrobe of most farmers and for good reason. Comfort, durability and range of motion make them a sure pick every time.
There is a definite look to a person who is prepared and confident in their skills and knowledge. They are the leaders who inspire the regular guys to be their best self, although some don’t like this type at all. It reminds them they have to make an effort.
Part of their confidence is their appearance. Dressing for the weather in stylish quality clothing.
Carhartt, the maker of mens insulated bib overalls also has dozens of good looking , hard working garments to chose from. Step it up and show what you’ve got and at days end you will rest well knowing you tried your best.
As the old saying goes… “a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!!! ”
Truth of the matter is… aggressive outdoor sports require tough clothing just the same as “real work”
Carhartt has a line of casual clothing for such a need as this. Many people think Carhartt bib overalls are all the company makes… think again… take another look. Looking good and enjoying the great outdoors… I am there right now…in my imagination!
What looks to be an emergency situation is a standard procedure on this rig. Many people work outdoors and in extreme temperatures. In my little part of the world, thousands of workers go underground everyday to mine coal and new to this area is Marcellus shale drilling for gas.
Production of both of these resources is hard and dirty work and requires well built clothing such as overalls and safety toe boots. Talk to any pipe-liner or coal miner and they will have lots of advice if you are pursuing a job in these fields.
