Any driven female will tell you that half the battle, of being a successful woman in a mans world , is dependent upon your stubbornness factor. Skill is important, knowledge is important, education plays a role and work experience helps… but without the self discipline, to hang tough and endure uncomfortable or less than appealing situations, all the great things you have going for you are lost.
Rosie the Riveter was a tough gal. Clad in her denim overalls wielding the man tools and doing the job that needed done. I am sure she took her share of bayer aspirin after her shift.
This job requires flame resistant clothing and in recent years, Carhartt flame-resistant clothing has become a sizable division in the Carhartt line.
This risky occupation would surely cause some worry for the family of the lineman who gets called out in the worst of storms to perform his duties and restore service.
The talk is that there is plenty of work here, that the 40 & 50 year old workers will retire during this job. Wow is my response, who would have ever guessed that this quiet community had riches beneath. Many complain of the traffic and the mess but I personally am very thankful for it. Every project has it’s messes and this one is definitely no exception but the local economy is booming. Many workers have relocated their families and are here to stay.
My living is made selling Carhartt bibs and all the other great work-wear they are famous for. Lucky me… these workers already knew what Carhartt clothing is and are glad to have a shop nearby.
Lisa Hammel, the owner of a retail clothing shop specializes in Carhartt brand apparel and has for over 15 years.
Carhartt bib overalls insulated and unlined are the top sellers in her retail shop in northern West Virginia. In recent months her community has been flooded with “rough necks”.. which are drillers from all over the country.
While visiting with her customers, she asks “where is home for you?” Many times the answer is Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama. My true appreciation to the new business flow cannot be fully put into words because just two short years ago, my business was near bankruptcy. This busy working mom of three is very pleased to have stayed the course when the economy pointed towards bailing out.
Tool bag…Check, lunch bucket…check… Thermos …Check insulated bibs and boots…check.. safety harness… ready.. now..last and certainly not least… COURAGE…!!! Not everyone is made for this work, and certainly not those afraid of heights.
Guts and Gear and off to work you go… I hope the pay rate is good.
Do you like to live life to the fullest… I do. I love to set goals, make plans and then work to achieve them. I personally feel that leisure time is a must. Planning a getaway and looking forward to it are almost half the fun. The getaway serves as a reward or incentive to put your nose to the grindstone and work hard and when it is time to clock out and enjoy the reward, it is very well deserved.
When I am working around the yard and in the barn, Carhartt unlined bib overalls are my pick for work clothing. They are tough and comfortable. In some ways, Carhartt helps in ways that even they aren’t aware of!
You know her as bib girl if you know her at all. She is confident on a good day.. she is a little tired, most days and she smiles almost always! She is the single Mom, who wears all the hats and who would get overwhelmed if she looked at the whole picture, so she doesn’t.
She sells denim bib overalls and loves to wear them also. She can fit a customer in a set of bibs in 3 tries or less and knows this talent will never make her rich, but she loves life and loves her kids and knows God is in control. Follow the link and if you like Carhartt brand… talk to “bib girl” she will take good care of you.
Is it good to be the boss? Not always, depending on who the company is and what responsibility goes with the hat! Many leadership positions have to be earned from the ground up…one rung at a time. A well rounded leader has done all of the jobs himself at one time or another and he knows first hand, how it’s done. His pay scale may be higher but his responsibilities are a great deal higher also. He may or may not get to clock out with the rest of the crew, especially if there is trouble on a job. Driven leaders never clock out, their minds are on the task pretty much 24/7 and they love the challenge of setting the pace for their crew and getting the best they have to offer. The instill team spirit and area pleasure to work for. Carhartt bib overalls are part of a winning team of work clothes that most know of and trust to perform to high standards.
